Ethan’s Story

"Hi I'm cool kid Ethan! I'm was born around 1/25/2016 and some sort of mix between a chihuahua, dachsund, terrier. I've been wandering the streets of a local neighborhood basically my whole life. One day I found myself in the backyard of a home where a beautiful silver pitty girl lived. Her name is Uma - and she's a new Streetdog too! She did not have very good owners and did not have alot of food or good living conditions. She always seemed shy sad and lonely, so I decided to live there with her so she didn't have to be alone. She quickly became my best friend. In September, the people that lived inside the house decided to stop feeding us food. Uma got very very sick and almost died on me, but thankfully, some neighbors came to our rescue. They started feeding us and sitting with us everyday. I warmed up pretty quickly, because I love a good lap to sit in, but Uma was never too sure about our new human friends. But she started getting better and we started putting some weight on our bones in preparation for the winter season.

The end of 2018 the people living inside the house went away forever and left us there. Then it got really cold. So the neighbors that had been helping us decided to finally intervene. They took us to a vet where we could sleep in warmth. Unfortunately, this is all they could do for us.

Luckily, my silly grin and Uma's soulful eyes won the heart of some Streetdog Foundation reps and they came and got us!

I am now up to date on my shots, neutered and going to start heartworm treatment as soon as possible. I'm a great car rider, and love to sit in your lap and snuggle. I like other dogs and humans of all kinds and will start heartworm treatment soon. I don't take up too much space I promise!! I'm looking forward to getting healthy and adopted by my forever family that I have been dreaming of my whole life! Thank you to the kind neighbors that have been caring for us since September and thank you to Streetdog Foundation for promising to take care of us every day moving forward!”
