Lenny - Foster Needed

Male  🔸  Dog Friendly  🔸  Not a Fan of Kitties  🔸  Better With No Children 🔸 House Broken 🔸 Crate Trained  🔸  Latest weigh-in 48.8 lbs

Lenny is looking for a foster home! He’s an energetic pup who loves nothing more than for a person to give him all of their love and attention. He loves and I mean LOVES playing with balls of all sorts, but he also is an amazing cuddler who will give you all of the kisses that you could ever want. He does well with other pups after getting to know them as well!‼

A few words from a foster to describe Lenny: He is leash trained, does well in a car & likes toys, He’s obedient, playful, affectionate, gentle, goofy and a good running Buddy. We don’t know what happened in Lenny’s life before Streetdog but it may be what caused him to be nervous with new people. He requires time and patience to get to know new faces. More than anything this boy LOVES his balls!

Lenny's Story

"Lenny here – pleased to meet you all!  I’m a young little guy from the streets of Memphis, TN.  I’ve got a pretty great story to tell ya about!  In July, the hottest month of the year, I was wandering aimlessly through the street looking for something…anything…to eat or drink to make it through the evening. I got the smells of a sandwich shop and followed my nose to see if it would lead me somewhere.  I wound up outside of a Lenny’s Sub Shop where I huddled around the door for several hours begging for a scrap or a drink of water.  Even with my puppy dog eyes I couldn’t convince anyone to buy me a sandwich.  I was just about to give up when a big maroon van pulled into the parking lot.  I knew immediately that this was no ordinary van. It was magica! (and it smelled like doggies hehe).  The people got out and casually strolled over to me while telling me what a good boy I was.  The man went inside and bought some meat and water while the woman kept singing to me.  I liked her voice a lot.

The kind people, magic van, deli meat and water were all too overcoming for me and I gave in and let them put a leash around my neck.  I gobbled up treats of all sorts while they took me to safety.  I slept inside on comfy blankets for the first time in my whole life that night – and every night since as a matter of fact.  It was awesome.  I’ve been gaining weight, getting vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.  I tested heartworm negative and have been started on some monthly preventatives.  I am a totally healthy boy these days and I LOVE a ball.  I can play with my ball all day and all night.  I have been in the best foster home getting to be more comfortable with new people. I love to run and play and give the best snuggles ever (at least I think so). If you love to throw a ball, I am your guy!"
