Foster Update: “Martin is one of the most affectionate dogs you will ever meet. His favorite thing in the world is cuddling and having his belly rubbed. You can always catch him following you around, and he makes an amazing sous chef, patiently waiting for you to drop food. He loves everyone he meets, and has zero stranger danger. He is good with kids, but he is an excitable pup. He is fine after he gets his "hyper" out. He is extremely treat-motivated, and redirects very well, which is wonderful for training! I think he would do well with a couple or a family that will give him the walks and enrichment he needs. He is a wonderful porch pup and loves the attention he gets from everyone! You can always catch him at Wiseacre or Celtic Crossing! I think there is hope for him to one day find a dog companion. He does not react when he sees other pups on walks or in public, and generally does not mind being in the presence of other pups, but there are times he does get anxious if one gets in his face. He is still learning how to play with other dogs without being frightened, but it's nice that he can still go into public where other pups may be! I think one of the best things to know about Martin, is that he is extremely smart and clever. He has come so far over the past year and is improving every single day. He really is the goodest of boys. ”
More about him from his foster: He is Moderately active, Leash trained, Does well in a car, Likes toys, Playful, Affectionate, Running Buddy & Goofy.
In late January 2018 I was dodging traffic on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd and now I'm living the good life, safe and warm indoors at the greatest vet's office in the entire world.
I had a pretty bad case of demodex mange but my skin is glowing and healthy now. I had to have surgery on my eyelid and I’m got neutered. Sounds scary but it wasn’t too bad.
I was born in the middle of 2016 and my favorite thing in the world is belly rubs. I did a lot of sleeping and eating to gain weight and let my body heal. I was ok with that! I’m as healthy as a horse now!
I can’t wait for all of the new things in my life coming up.

Martin is such a happy boy and he is totally kid friendly!!! This weekend, at Adoption Day at Hollywood Feed, some kiddos stopped by to give him some love and attention. This family-friendly pup has come a long way in a few weeks. He is still taking medication to help heal his skin but his coat is coming in beautifully! He is learning lots of manners and what it is like to get lots of food, treats and cuddles in his foster home. Now we just need to find his perfect forever family!! #sdfMartin #adoptable #kidfriendly
