Oliver Wood - On Adoption Trial
Oliver Wood’s Story
Before I ended up with Streetdog, I used to live with a family that let me roam free all the time near busy streets. One day, I got caught in a garage with another dog friend, and the woman who found us was a Streetdog volunteer. Since she knew where my owners lived, but couldn't get ahold of them and knew that they let me freely roam all day every day, she called Memphis Animal Services to help. I spent some time in the shelter, but my owners never came to get me and decided that they didn't want to care for me anymore. Thankfully, my Streetdog Foundation friends kept following my story and stepped in to save the day!
I'm now in a foster home with lots of attention, dog friends to play with, and a secure fence to keep me safe. Although I am a gentle giant (I'm probably meant to be closer to 75 pounds), I am still a little underweight and have some weight to gain. Other than being a bit underweight, I got a clean bill of health, all of my vaccines, neutered, and even microchipped! I am now on my way to finding my "pawfect" forever home. I'm not super wild about kitties, and would do better in a home without them. However, I LOVE humans and all other pups! The car rides have been cool, and I love snoozing in my new foster home when I'm not playing with my furry pup foster sisters. I'm learning about the crate training, walking great on a leash, and am eager to learn new things! My main goal is to please all the humans! If you're looking for a big, cuddly boy with a lot of love to give, I'm your guy! #sdfOliverWood
