Halfway through my pregnancy, hungry and alone, I found myself wandering the streets of Midtown Memphis. I passed lots of smells and houses but when i decided to approach one house in particular, I realized the doorbell was way too high for me. I wasn’t going to be able to reach it. But, luckily for me, right at that moment, a friendly-faced, ginger-haired man came out of the house nextdoor and saw me. I went right over to him and he took me to his backyard and gave me food and water. And, guess who we saw on the other side of the fence when we got to his backyard… it was the lady who lived in the house whose doorbell I couldn’t reach! She was in her backyard with her two dogs and when she saw me she came over and gave me treats and told me how pretty I was (she must be really smart)! I am a beautiful angel so, naturally, I accepted the treats and agreed with her compliments. One day later, the ginger haired man told me she’d be coming to get me and although I was sad to depart from my ginger-haired friend, I knew I was in safe hands and close by.
The nice lady came and got me, bathed me and fed me and the next morning she took me to the vet. I liked it there, everyone was really nice and they thought I was pretty too. Oh, and the vet confirmed that my egg-o was definitely pregg-o. (I kept trying to tell everyone but noone seemed to listen). I'm about 2 years old and weigh about 45 lbs.
So, since then, I’ve been chilling with the lady and her two dogs. They’re both boy dogs and were kinda annoying at first so I mainly stayed with the lady at ALL times. But after a week or so I decided I’d play with them both and we’ve had so much fun. They are way bigger than me but we have a lot of fun playing tug-of-war and just running! But as my belly started getting bigger and bigger I had to slow it down a bit. I'll be ready to play with other pups again soon though!
Fast forward another week or two and now I have babies!! Eight puppies to be exact. Five girls (bc girls rock) and three strong boys. I’m calling them my little royals because, well, we are ROYALTY. Streetdog Foundation is going to be helping find them their forever homes to when they are ready. You'll get to meet them all soon!
