Riley - On Adoption Trial
In early January we were alerted to an emaciated dog in Memphis. With the help of a neighborhood kitty cat and lots of chicken nuggets we were able to rescue this girl from the freezing cold.
Her condition is poor - she has mange, ringworm and lots of sores - but after being rescued she's already starting to feel better. She went from running away from people to cuddling and kisses!
1/21/18: Riley is still a pretty itchy little girl. She was diagnosed with sarcoptic mange, but after a couple weeks and a couple medicated, scrubby baths, she is not contagious to humans or other pups. Her skin is already beginning to look less inflamed and her fur is beginning to fill in. She is still wearing her cone when in her kennel to prevent her from biting and scratching too much, but she is a total love and wiggle butt when she gets visitors and loves all the pets and rubs! She will be moving to a foster home soon, hopefully!
3/1/18: Riley was spayed this week. She spent the day and night at Grace to get all the kisses and love from the staff, who took good care of her along with Doc. She is now resting comfortably with her foster dad and foster kitty.
