Rumi was abandoned and tied up to a chain link fence for several days. Some local teachers were monitoring her to see if anyone would come back for her. One morning, Rumi was gone, but she hadn't gone far. She found her way onto the school's playground where the teachers found her a few minutes later. They spent the day caring for her and after school was out, Rumi took a ride with her new foster mom to the vet's office where she got her shots and was given a full work up.
Doc estimates that she is about 6 months old and has scheduled her to be spayed and microchipped soon! Once that's done, she will be all set to start attending adoption events and hanging out with other Streetdog friends! So far Rumi has done great with other dogs and kids. She's already learned some basic puppy training and is working on walking on a leash, pottying outside and playing with toys. Rumi has been the sweetest addition to Streetdog Foundation and we are just loving watching her learn what it is like to be loved and praised. Rumi will make anyone the perfect companion and family member!
