Foster Update: Sue does well in a car, likes toys, is obedient, playful, affectionate, gentle and goofy.
Hey there! My name is Sue. I was hanging out in a field next to Firestation 8 in Memphis, TN getting chased by birds. I was feeling really crummy and was hot and dehydrated and the birds were just relentless!
So I used all the energy I had to flee the scene to the station next door to seek shelter. The friendly firefighters gave me some food, water, and shelter. I knew i was safe so i stuck around. The next day came and my health continued to deteriorate. I stopped eating and drinking and became lethargic. A concerned firefighter and veteran foster and adopter with Streetdog Foundation called to see if they could step in to help me. Luckily, Streetdog offers an awesome Found Foster Program and I was a great candidate!
My hero firefighter rescuer and his awesome wife took me straight to the vet that afternoon where the Dr. determined that i had Parvo, and that's why i was feeling so bad. For the next week or so I had to stay at the vet and get intense treatment to help me feel better. But I am feeling better now, and have officially beat Parvo. I got my shots and have been cleared to go home with my awesome rescuers and fosters!
I'm about 6 months old and give the sweetest kisses. I'm suspected to be mostly Labrador, maybe with a hint of hound mixed in there. I'll be spayed soon and officially adoptable.
