SAYING GOOD-BYE TO A LOYAL FRIEND AND FACE OF STREETDOG

https://www.streetdogfoundation.com/ https://www.streetdogfoundation.com/

Ever wondered who the pup is on our logo? Go to a Streetdog event and there he is. Visit our social media, there he is. The literal face of Streetdog. The adorable white pup with a beautiful heart and inquisitive tilted head.

It’s Stanley Pafford. Stanley is a fur baby of our Co-founders Kent & Melanie. He was born April 9, 2007. Eleven beautiful years old. Stanley was the first Pafford fur baby.

With Streetdogs inception in 2009 Stanley was there for it all. He befriended and comforted the myriad of fosters brought home over the years. He welcomed countless volunteers into his home. Stanley held his position as leader of his pack of 5 for years.

Until Thursday, December 14, 2018. Stanley had his share of health scares and issues through the years. Thursday proved to be a bit too much for the sweet boy. Stanley developed a tumor on his spleen which caused the spleen to rupture. At the close of surgery he developed a blood clot and lost the battle.

Stanley may no longer be here but his legacy and face will resonate through all that come in contact with Streetdog. Through every pup saved from homelessness and sickness. Through every volunteer. That little tilted head has an even deeper meaning now. He’s joined the Streetdog Angels.

Melanie and Kent lost another fur-baby, Fiona, to cancer earlier this year. The wound is still a bit fresh. All of us at Streetdog send our prayers, love and wish for peace to Melanie and Kent through this difficult time. We love you so very much!
