Duke Silver’s Story

Hey there friends - I'm Duke Silver! I was wandering down some back-country roads, stopping by any house that I came to, trying to find someone that would let me in and play with me. Unfortunately, no one had any room to spare. Luckily, I ended up on a farm where the farmer had a fabulous dog-lovin' daughter who came and scooped me up and told me that she would get me all fixed up. I had been on my own for a while, very lost, dirty and hungry so I was so happy to go home with her! She introduced me to her other pup and her human child, and let me tell you, it was LOVE at first sight. I definitely like human children and other pups too!

She took me to the vet, where they said I'm heartworm positive, so now I've started taking medicine to help me feel better. I'm about 3 years old, neutered, microchipped, and very loving with awesome energy. I know how to play, that's for sure, but I also know how to relax and be a calm, good boy. I've got a foster for now, and she is going to be working with me on some basic training and manners, but I would really like to find my perfect forever family to help get me through heartworm treatment and love me forever!
